This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from shoppareto.com (the “Site”).

Personal information we collect
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information”.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

How do we use your personal information?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

- When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

  • Facebook - we use Facebook cookies and pixels to help deliver our advertising on Facebook. This means you may see our ads when you use Facebook because you have visited our site in accordance with your Facebook privacy settings. We may share any information that we receive with other third-party vendors and service providers to process and ship your order. We use marketing service providers to help us maintain and analyze our data, allow us to mail our catalogs, and market more efficiently. They may use cookies or web beacons to collect information about you, in connection with providing you information about our products that might be of interest. These partners may also combine your email information with other information they have access to, such as a mailing address, so that we may serve relevant marketing offers to you via email and direct mail. Like many other businesses, we sometimes hire outside companies to perform special business-related functions. These include mailing information, maintaining databases, and processing payments. When we employ another company to carry out these types of tasks, we only provide them with the information they need to perform their specific function.

Do not track
Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

Data retention
We retain Personal Information we receive as described in this privacy policy for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose(s) for which it was collected, fulfill orders, resolve disputes, establish legal defenses, conduct audits, pursue legitimate business purposes, enforce our agreements and comply with applicable laws. When we are no longer required to retain your Personal Information or upon your request, we will destroy, erase, or de-identify it in accordance with our data retention policies and applicable law. Legal requirements, however, may require us to retain some or all of the personal information we hold for a period of time that is longer than that for which we might otherwise hold it. 

Children’s Privacy
Our Site is not directed to children under the age of 13. In addition, you are not permitted to use our Site if you do not meet the minimum age requirement applicable to our Site in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you learn that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, you may alert us at hello@shoppareto.com. If we learn that we have collected personal information of a child under the age of 13, we will take steps to delete such information from our files as soon as possible and terminate the child’s account.

Business Transition
In the event we go through a business transition, including without limitation any merger, acquisition, partnership, business reorganization, debt finance, or sale of association assets, or in the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership (together a "Business Transition"), we may use information collected in accordance with this Privacy Policy and subject to its restrictions, as part of any such Business Transition. In such instances, your information can be part of the assets transferred.

California Residents
If you are a California resident, you may ask us for a notice identifying the categories of Personal Information that we share with third parties for marketing purposes and to refrain from sharing your Personal Information with certain of these entities for their marketing purposes. Please tell us your preference by contacting us at the address provided at the bottom of this Privacy Statement. In your request, please specify that you want “Pareto’s California Privacy Rights Notice.” Please allow 30 days for a response. 

Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
